N95 8GB + Bluetooth Keyboard SU-8W = Creativity & Productivity
I sold my old N95 and I bought N95 8GB – Ninja as some say π I haven’t written any review yet, but this phone is totally awesome. It takes everything to another dimension, although there are a few things that should be fixed. Here some of my +/-
+ Bigger screen great for watching movies
+ Better battery
+ UI performance
+ New better Multimedia Menu
+ Camera works faster
+ “Endless” space (8GB) for new videos and photos
+ No more watching on task
+ It’s black, elegant and more solid
– Still, software sometimes crashes
– I think that they made software improvements in cost of music playback
– New recorded movies jam when viewing first time just after recording
-I noticed remarkable scratches on camera lenses and the photos are kinda blurry
Everything else is ok, but my big wish is to see last.fm client for s60 merged with default player.
Wireless Keyboard was better idea than I thought, I use it all the time. No matter if I’m in my bed, bus or train I always have a chance to write down the idea that come up to my head. It’s really small after assembling and it fits to my pocket, however I hold it in a backpack. Usage is really comfortable and you just have to get use to it.
Large amount of RAM memory integrated with N95 8GB enables me to listen to my favourite music while writing another python app on my phone.
Sometimes I’m writing some math in latex, but I still dream about seeing my code being rendered to picture directly on phone…
The last sad thing are low capabilities of mobile office. Even though I’m able to insert a picture to my word document I still can’t do advanced numbering in it and I can’t tag things in it or even upload it directly on wordpress. I see only two possible solutions either I will write something to do that for me everytime or I will move on to my own server with wordpress and send things on it by e-mail.

Really nice to read that you’re pleased with your new phone. I still have my old Nokia 6230 phone and, to be pretty honest, I’m satisfied with it as well and I need nothing more π
Maybe it’s so since I hardly ever use it to anything else than calling and writing SMSs.
Okay, but the real reason of writing this comment is my need to pay attention to some grammar errors π
What I can see is:
“there are few…” – not really sure but I think that what you meant is “there are a few”
“endless place” – not really sure once again π but it seems “space” is a much better word than “place” in this context
“it fit’s” β it fits
“low possibilities of mobile office” – it seems it’s translated too literally, “possibility” is not a good word here, you should use “capabilities” or “means” (but the first one is rather better and probably is used more widely)
The next sentence is in most good however “however” in its beginning doesn’t fit this sentence too good in my opinion. I’m sure that you should have used “although” or “even though” or any other similar word.
And one more thing: “or I will write… or I will move”. In English the first “or” is replaced by “either”. By the way, if you want to say Polish “ani to, ani tamto” in English you use “neither x nor y” π

I just Bought the SU-8W for my N95. Everything else is ok but i canΒ΄t use it in the Office Suite 4.5 for documents editions, because it doesnΒ΄t recognize any key.
Could you tell me how can i fix this problem?
Probably because n95 goes with view only edition of quick office with no possibility to edit documents.
Just wondering, being a newbie… How do you compile the Python scripts on the Phone? Or do you transfer fwds and back to the PC? I thought I”d teach myself Python on “off” moments… but having 2 kids and a job – these moments are rare, so running the dev. work completely on the phone seems to be the time efficient method? Any comments?

I use script py2sis or SmartSis app on phone.
It’s true it’s time efficient, but it’s much better if you have SU-8W and some editing app like PED which makes the programming almost as easy as on PC and what’s more you don’t have to transfer the script from your pc to phone to test it.
I will write it on my blog sometime when I’ll get more advanced π

It would be interesting if you blogged sometime how you typically develop something on your phone; the procedure. To me this seems to be the way to go for small scripts on the fly! Cheers Martin
